Julia-Alison

Some of you may have noticed I changed my DA username. The reason for this change is very soon I need to register a business name and Cae-sar just didn't quite work out. Plus trying to spell out Cae-sar to people was a pain. Julia Alison works much better from a professional standpoint and tying in my graphic design work as well.

PKMN STYLE PROJECT

Thanks to every one who left feedback on the first few entries to the project.



I've put together a list of the 'final decisions', Just because your suggestion is not on the list doesn't mean I'm not considering it. The 'final decisions' list are the ones I'm fully happy with and have the go ahead. If you make a suggestion please give a reason as to why you think that artist should be tied to that Pokemon I would like to have some connections between the two.

Btw I won't just be doing famous old school artist, I'll also be doing a selection of DA artist who have inspired me over the years and some of my friends styles.

I decided I'm going to draw/paint all of the original 151 pokemon with each painting done in a different style.

The purpose of this project is to explore as many styles as possible. For example I've just started Staryu with influences from Gustav klimt.

Any suggestions for what pkmn should be in what style?

I was thinking of doing some collabs as well for this project to help explore the art styles of my friends.

I aim to get the project done in a couple of years.

Hey guys I'm on holidays with some time to spare. I doubt if any one would be interested in commissioning me, but I'm opening them up any way. I'll be happy if I get one :3 (btw would any one in the future be interested in doing collab commissions, eg you draw I colour split it 50/50, I've done them before and they're super fun )

Commission type - (bust, full body ecy)
Extras - ( wether you'd like a simple background or objects)
Subject - (what you'd like, your OC, fan art, gift for a friend.)

Please be detailed in what you'd like. Attach references if you have any, but I can work from only a description. If you have a particular expression or pose you want your character in then share. If not i'll make the pose/expression up myself based on the subject.

At least half of the payment must be made up front. I can only accept paypal!

I can show you any W.I.P (work in progress) for the commission, however I only do this if you ask.
You will receive your commission through your e-mail at a high resolution, roughly 4000px high at 300 dpi.

Took all of it into consideration. Hopefully this project won’t be a complete flop. I’d be happy with just a handful of dedicated readers!

Feed back on the site would be awesome. There are a few glitches in IE browser, which I’ve tried to mend with no luck. But who uses IE any way. Also just had a major problem with Comicpress which resulted with me losing 5 pages, just re-added those :I.

I think this will be a great drawing experience for me. As my gallery is nothing but girls and faces having to knuckle out illustrations with backgrounds and perspective has been very challenging. You will be seeing alot of different work form me and alot of it is rubbish. Except maybe if its a girl or a face lol

The first 4 chapters have been written and I’m currently trying to stay 3 or 4 drawings ahead. Nina has a pretty good head start on this P: Because we both work on the story we are always arguing about plot holes and character motives right into  the early hours of the morning until its 100% feasible, so I hope you like the content.

Due to its nature of being a novel and not a comic its going to take at least 30 pages to get going. The story is really going to pic up around chapter 4 so please be patient
